a room up to 150 sq ft needs 1.0 HP
150–250 sq ft needs 1.5 HP
250–400 sq ft needs 2.0 HP
400–600 sq ft needs 2.5 HP
However, other factors affect this — ceiling height, number of windows, sun exposure, number of occupants and whether the room is above a roof. How long does Aircond installation take?
A standard single split unit installation in a residential property takes approximately 2–4 hours depending on the complexity of the pipe run, the wall thickness and the distance between the indoor and outdoor units. A multi-split system serving 3–5 rooms typically takes a full day. Commercial and industrial installations vary widely depending on the system type and building structure. What should I check after a new Aircond is installed?
After installation, confirm the following: the unit cools to the set temperature within 15–20 minutes, there is no water dripping from the indoor unit, the outdoor unit is securely mounted and vibration-free, all pipe connections are properly insulated, and the electrical isolator switch is correctly installed and accessible. Yes. All installations carried out by Sunmoon Aircond are covered by a workmanship warranty. The aircond unit itself is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty — 5 years on the compressor and 1–2 years on parts for most Panasonic and Midea models when purchased through an authorized dealer like us. We assist with warranty claims and liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf if any issues arise within the warranty period.
